Energy and Campus Development - Geographic Information System (GIS) Group

Antenna mounted to the side of the Printing & Mail Building.

Continuously Operating Reference Station
(CORS)

The Energy and Campus Development, GIS Group, utilizes Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to locate and map spatial information at the University of New Hampshire. Installed in 2005, the GPS Base Station provides correction data for the UNH campus as well as regional users.

RINEX Files - Universal Reference Station raw GPS data, including pseudoprange, carrier phase, and ephemeris information as well as differential corrections.

DAT Files - Universal Reference Station raw GPS data, including pseudoprange, carrier phase, and ephemeris information as well as differential corrections.

RTK Data - Real-Time Kinematic - The differential GPS procedure whereby carrier phase corrections are transmitted in real time from a reference station to the user's roving receiver. This data is available via IP cellular at no charge. RTK GPS users should contact the station administrator for more details.

The GPS Base Station was provided to the University by Keystone Precision Instruments and its partner
Trimble Navigation Limited.
